Annual Golf Tournament

Please join us for a Day of Fun and Golfing for a Good Cause for our 12th Annual Sheriff Larry Campbell Refuge House Golf Tournament, which will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at Southwood. We expect the event to attract over 100 golfers and raise money which will be used to purchase food for the more than 500 women and children we serve each year in our emergency shelter and transitional housing programs.

Refuge House, Inc. provides direct services to battered women, their children and sexual assault survivors, as well as to works to eliminate the conditions in society that allow such violence to continue. While in shelter, residents participate in counseling, support groups and case management.

What the holiday season means to the families at
Refuge House

With the holiday season right around the corner, we are turning our attention making this time easier for the women and children we serve. For many of them, the holidays are filled with painful memories and a longing for a peaceful family gathering. The holidays can also be a time of frustration for mothers who have very little money with which to buy gifts for their children and food for their special holiday meal. Our goal during the holidays is to help the families we serve begin to build new memories, ones of peace and love.
