The Collection Refuge House's Resale Store, The Collection on Gaines has relocated to the former Bridgestone building between South Monroe and Adams streets next to Stereo Sales. Managed by Louise "Lulu" Madonia, the new location, which is much larger than the Gaines Street shop, will now be called The Collection. The physical street addresses are 1517 S. Adams Street and 1514 S. Monroe Street. Currently undergoing a few cosmetic renovations, The Collection is not open for business yet. However, the shop is accepting donations. Furniture and household goods are particularly needed. All proceeds support Refuge House program services and donations are 100% tax-deductible. Refuge House clients receive clothing and household goods at no charge. Also for those interested in indirect or short term volunteer opportunities, The Collection may be the place for you. The store is always in need of fun-loving, mature, responsible volunteers to help us keep the store looking and running fabulously. From sorting, tagging, and stocking goods, to customer service, to keeping the inside and outside looking great, we'd love your support! And... volunteers receive 15% off our already low prices!
